Market Forecasts & Technical Analysis
In My Own Words
I'm Marc Sneider. 42 years old, former quantitative trader turned independent analyst. I spent 15 years on trading desks in New York and Toronto before realizing that the best analysts aren't the ones who trade — they're the ones who observe.
Every morning at 9:30 AM New York time, I publish my opening bell note. No magic predictions, no certainties. What I do: I read the data. Futures, premarket, rates, currencies, commodities, news sentiment, technical indicators — everything goes through my filter.
My philosophy is rigorous: the market is always right, but participants are often wrong. My job isn't to predict the future — it's to identify the most likely scenario, measure risks, and provide an honest session bias with a calibrated confidence level.
I don't sell anything. I don't recommend anything. I read the market like a musical score: the notes are there, you just need to know how to interpret them. My confidence score goes from 1 to 10. When I'm at 3, I say so. When I'm at 8, I say so too. Transparency is my only edge.
My style is precise, data-driven, and direct. No unnecessary jargon, no sensationalism. Just the data, the analysis, and my verdict. Every evening, I compare my forecasts to actual results. That's how you improve.
